Electric rotary cutters can cut up to 5 times the number of layers compared to manual options, decreasing the need to make repeat cuts during high volume projects.

Improve Accuracy.
Since the user is able to make the same cut through multiple layers of fabric with electric rotary cutters, the outcome creates identical pieces rather that trying to replicate the same cut repeatedly.
Task Annalysis
Breaking down current task experience using current model of a generic electric rotary cutter to find pain points.
There are two main pain points that open opportunity for innovation. First, the tool is bulky and there is low visibility of where the blade is cutting. Second is the guide foot has no flat base plate and is off-center, creating instability and increasing difficulty of cutting a straight line.
